Heh~ I’ve watched 2 horror movies this week.
Land of the Dead and The Maid :s

Land of the Dead reminds me of a PlayStation game that my brother always play. Ay I forgot the name :s As usual, it’s a typical zombies eating human beings, with body parts flying everywhere, bloody movie blah blah blah~ I guess you can imagine how the ending will be like.

The Maid o.O TERRIFYING -_- I guess the director really catches the special feature of Japanese movies already. Sound effect and sudden appearance of erm “something”? o_O I love the storyline. It’s sad and creepy :s

Well, the story goes like this. This girl from Phillipines, Rosa, came to Singapore to work for this family. She arrived on the first day of the 7th month. Being ignorant about the rules to look out for during this month, she accidentally stepped on the ash, which is actually the remains of the offerings for the ghosts. She even tried to sweep them away. Chinese believe that if you accidentally did that, you must apologize to “them” and ask for their forgiveness. Thereafter, strange things began to happen. She started seeing ghosts, everywhere. On the streets, during the opera performance and inside the house.

Her employers were very nice to her, as well as their mentally-disabled son, Ah Soon, who likes her a lot. However, he keeps calling her Esther, whom she didn’t know who is he calling. Soon, she found out that Esther is her employer’s previous maid.

Esther was actually being raped by Ah Soon. She tried to run away, however her employers stopped her from doing it. She struggled to escape, but they set fire on her and killed her. They hid her body inside a drum and locked the door to disallow anyone from entering. Ah Soon knew that his parents had murdered Esther and was devastated, he followed suit and committed suicide.

All along, the Ah Soon that Rosa was looking after, is actually a ghost. Eww scary. So blah blah blah, her employers decided to kill Rosa as well and make her Ah Soon’s ghost wife.
