I’m excitedly anticipating this movie. Gonna watch it this weekend :)

You Are My Sunshine

Initially, I thought this would be another tear-jerking Korean drama. But upon viewing the trailer, it totally made me change my mind.

Basing on a true story set in Korea…

An old bachelor Seok-joong, who has no experience in dating, falls in love at first sight with a prostitute named Eun-ha. At first Eun-ha shows no interest in Seok-joong, but gradually she begins to be flattered by his devotion and eventually falls in love with him. They got married. However, one day, Eun-ha finds out that she is infected with HIV and decides to leave Seok-joong.

Man, how sad. Eventually, the guy tried all means to look for her whereabouts. How noble can that be? I mean she’s contracted AIDS shocked Put yourself in his shoes, what would you do?

In short,

He Her

Thus…

What is true love?

I guess no one have an exact answer to this question, even myself.

Put yourself in 4 situations. Let’s imagine the below happens to your beloved.

(1) Contracted a contagious disease

AIDS? Herpes? Bird Flu? Etcetera… These can be deadly, eh? There you are, sleeping with him/her every night. Or maybe you aren’t even married yet. Now what would you do? Dump him/her and never ever gonna contact him/her again? Period.

Now where’s love?

(2) Had been disfigured

The once pretty or handsome face is no longer there. Which makes me think, how many of you out there likes/loves someone just because of how he/she looks like? Perhaps a 99.9% or so?

“Oh no lah, I like him/her because he/she has a heart of gold. He’s/She’s so caring, kind and understanding.”

Probably there is only a handful who is telling the truth. BUT still, stop lying through your teeth. It’s either:-

  • He/She is rich
  • He/She has a very nice figure
  • You can gain from him/her. Or he/she can help you with a way or another.

And the list goes on, whatever you can think of other than having the good looks.

Now tell me, who doesn’t like pretty babes or gorgeous hunks? We all do, including myself, I admit. And a stupid friend of mine once told me, "I will surely dump my gf if she is disfigured."

I immediately gave him a tongue-lashing. Asshole.

Now where’s love?

(3) Have a sexual affair behind your back

Yeah, probably he’s out there sleeping with another woman, or maybe your best friend?? Dramatic. Would you forgive him? Even though he beg you like hell, crying, etc? No?

Now where’s love?

(4) From a rich man to a poor bloke

He was rich, showering you with lavishing gifts. LV, Dior, Gucci, Chloe, Zenith, etc. You only visit high-end restaurants. What’s hawker centre or food court to you?

Then, his business failed. Buying branded goods is just a dream from then on. Would you still be with him? Dump him just because he is no longer RICH?

Now where’s love?

Hmm.. I supposed..

If you are ugly, it will be difficult for you to find a partner.
If you are good-looking, the opposite sex will be flocking to you.

If you are poor, you can forget about having a girlfriend (mainly applies to guys).
If you are rich, you will have many girlfriends/boyfriends.

That’s how practical the world is.

UGLY + RICH and GORGEOUS + POOR

Which one would you choose to be your beloved? :) But still, is there true love??

P/S: The above article is purely based on my thoughts. I have no intention to finger-point at anyone =)

:erm: i guess it’s hard to make a decision btwn both.but if i really have to choose,i’ll definitely choose the one who loves me. maybe ppls might think that looks/wealth is quite important, but i think it’s the feeling of how both of you feel abt each other.
obviously,if i don’t even have the money to support myself,i will choose not to love at all, rather to be a burden to my partner :s
    TAKECARE!!

Well, hard to say actually since I dont know whats love as in BGR.

If I truely love that person, I will just stay with that person. Seriously, everyone have to die someday right? Mmm.

I will go for GORGEOUS + POOR thought. Poor—> can earn money, love one another. If one is rich, he can use money to buy anything which I dont like

just a phrase to this post Jacelyn. Love this post a lot.

“Money can’t buy anything. Neither can it buy love too”

I believe there’s true love, some people love their partner no matter whether the person is disfigured. If I were to contract something contagious and dangerous,my option will be to run away from my partner, even though it’ll cause him to become extremely depressed. At least, your partner’s still living. Love is so rare nowadays,it’s always the pretty and stick-thin girls that are getting chased by boys,I wonder whether this stupid cycle will end. Even though,I,too admire cute guys! :)

    Takecare alright?

:D really hard question, I don’t think there is an easy answer for any of them. I like to think that I would stay, but it would really depend on a ton of diffrent things, because if nothing else….it would change your whole life, so it would take some thinking!

 Sounds like a horribly sad movie, I hope it had a happy ending. Great update, really makes you think!
