Marathon in the Yummy Way Tuesday, 15 May 07

The sweetest guy on earth, Kendrick (let’s call him KY for short) advertised my blog on his for no apparent reason
Even though, I totally forgot about our last date! *paiseh*
Sorry! But I really have to admit, my memory is very bad
Anyone have solution for forgetfulness?

TADAA!!!
He mentioned that my blog is better than Xiaxue’s
How can mine be comparable to hers? Her england is more powderful than mine a hundred times more!
She has her own unique way to blog about anything under the sun
From tissue boxes, to taxi drivers, etc. Also, there are tons of sites which are way better than mine!
Otherwise, why am I still an anonymous blogger?
Anyway, back to KY. This witty charming dude, suggested for a food marathon (a.k.a 食字路口) with me
He’s an avid fan of Jacky Wu since many many years ago, and loves to mimic his way of laughter. It’s not surprising he can think of such a way to eat
Being the first friend he drove around (which he alleged), I had no choice but to be his walking street directory
I had a hard time reading the maps cos firstly, I don’t drive and secondly, my sense of direction is really BAD

I wonder how the hell this guy drove the car with just a single hand
Apparently, he did it with utmost confidence and happily rested the other hand on the armrest
Maybe just for the seh lah
But still, he’s the most careful male driver I’ve ever met haha

Don’t understand why we included 高粱 and Taco in the list when we obviously knew that it’s near impossible to find ‘em?
Watch too much tv lah. If only we are in Taiwan!
Too bad we did not prepare everything beforehand
We did cheat a little lah HEH!! But nevertheless, we had a great time searching all over Singapore for the food
Indeed, it was a fruitful trip. Furthermore, there are 2 places which are worthwhile to be commended!
Madeleine’s Original Portuguese Egg Tarts

Why can’t we find good Portuguese egg tarts nowadays? I remember seeing them in some Pasar Malams. Other than that, the only egg tarts I see on the streets are the traditional ones. Boy, am I glad to find these yummy Portuguese egg tarts along Tanjong Katong Road

The unique thing about Portuguese egg tarts is their lightly burnt top, which is both sweet and crispy. The custard inside is extremely creamy and fluffy. It melts in your mouth!
Anyway, I’ve found a recipe on Portuguese egg tarts! WHOOO! I shall try making them myself! HEHE

Raku Japanese Restaurant + Bar

Situated in a quiet little corner of Holland Village, you will be attracted to this Japanese restaurant unknowingly

The 2 of us ordered a bowl of their Raku Ramen to share. After all, we were too bloated as it was nearly the end of the marathon
The noodles tasted a little like maggie mee
But luckily, it is not too soggy to be consumed. The soup base is highly addictive, I wonder what they had added in
Initially, we felt really embarrassed just to order a pathetic bowl of ramen in such an exquisite restaurant. However, there was this waiter who is extremely hospitable towards us. He gave us a small bowl each for our easy consumption, we don’t even have to ask for it!
Overall, the service we experienced is exceptionally good
(except that the whole restaurant is too dim) However at the end of the day, the bill come up to $29++ for a bowl of ramen plus 2 cups of tea

Hehe, cause I can go there with my friends. Lol, do blog more okay!
The reason you use the word “powderful” makes your English very powderful indeed.
So do you have your own unique way of blogging.
Each have their own way of blogging and different people think differently.
I love the way you blog.
Anyway I can’t really give you a antidote to forgetfulness.
My memory is way worse than yours. *haha* I can forget what I wanted to do within a min time span.
