One of the thing I hated the most is to encounter with cab drivers who love to use dishonest tactics to earn more money
Sometimes, I wish I could just squash them with my bare hands and leave them to die with open wounds *oops sadistic*
A few days ago, we met up with this cab driver who nearly drove us all around Singapore. Took the cab from the Singapore Zoo and was heading towards Funan DigitaLife Mall when he started bringing us all the way to Choa Chu Kang/Upper Bukit Timah before heading to the expressway
We were wondering why would he go all the way to CCK when he could just head towards Rochor Road. Obviously, he is making use of the heavy traffic in hope to increase the meter fare discreetly. When we started asking him about it, he did not even bother to give us a reply and continued driving. How rude?!
And then this morning, I took 518 @ 0830 hours from my workplace. I was extremely exhausted from the shift the previous night and was catching a short nap in the bus when I heard the bus driver shouting at the top of his voice all of a sudden. Apparently, he had forgotten the way to Pasir Ris and was asking for assistance through the system. The ironic thing is, he started driving the bus from Orchard to Tanjong Katong, then to Geylang and back to Orchard again!
Not only that, he nearly endangered the lives of the 3 ladies in the bus (including mine of course) by stopping the bus in the middle of the expressway and ignoring the heavy traffic. Furthermore, he even had the nerve to honk other drivers when he was the one at fault. A normal 30 minutes journey took almost 1 hour 15 minutes today
How do we stop drivers from making these mistakes?
Too tired to think as well, I have a huge load of backdated stuff to blog but no time to do so!

This is an open and published post for someone out there who hollered at my friend on her blog. The last thing I would ever wanted is seeing others bad-mouthing or accusing my friends for nothing. Or rather, bringing up stupid things to quarrel about. These are absolutely unnecessary and childish.
We know the situation you face in your life. I have given you advices, not that you don’t know. But you simply refused to listen or heed my advice and chose to be pessimistic. My dear, no one is picking on you, finding fault in you, hate you, making use of you, or treat you as a spare tyre. But you chose to believe that, believe what you assume. Believe what you think is right. And kept thinking that she purposely picked on you, when in fact, that was not the case at all.
Like what she had said, we have gone through what you are actually going through right now. It’s inevitable and is our responsibility to point out any mistakes that our juniors had made. It’s all about learning from your own mistakes. Furthermore, the mistakes you did could possibly result in getting your colleagues into trouble. It might be insignificant to you, but others may not feel this way. Listen when others give you advices and teach you about the trade. Learn the hard way and be patient.
I believe you have been in the service industry before and have seen all sorts of nasty and weird customers. Yes, all of us make mistakes. And we had our taste of medicine already, getting scolded by unreasonable customers and team leaders. Each and everyone of us here have our own problems, who doesn’t? Bringing your personal problems to work will only make your life more miserable. Sometimes, it isn’t our day and customers tend to make us really frustrated. Didn’t we still carry on with our life? Why should you make a mountain out of a mole hill?!
I have known my friend since at the age of 13. 9 years in fact. We’ve seen each other grew up, know about each other’s secrets, discussed about our own problems, joke together, eat together, play together, cry together, laugh together, etc. So I don’t understand, why should you judge her based on your assumption when you’ve only knew her for less than 3 months?! Frankly speaking, throughout my whole life, I have never seen her flare up for nothing. I believe everything happens for a reason and I know, she has a reason for doing so.
None of us is biased or purposely picking on anyone. You should really change the way you think. No one in this world is perfect, neither do anyone of us at OADQ. I believe everything is about teamwork, patience and making this job an enjoyable one.
Learn to give, take and share. Life is not that bad as you think.
