A Visit to the Highlands Friday, 21 September 07

It’s been more than 10 years since I last visited Genting Highlands. I vaguely remember that they have cool misty air where your mouth would puff out smoke when you exhale, casinos where all the poor and the rich men go ga-ga over it, and the fun-filled outdoor games which makes us go AHHHHHH and WOOOOOO all the time :wiggle:

Not forgetting to mention, I lost RM150 to the cheating casino. Humph! That sucks wtf We’ll just never win man. I looked like an idiot pressing on the big round button repeatedly and looking at the money decreasing all the time! wth The interior decor is pretty though, ignorant me nearly took out the camera to take pictures. Luckily, I didn’t. Otherwise, I might be eating plain rice on a dirty plate behind the bars right now :blank: (The policemen there looked scary :s )

Our 18-seater coach :) Unfortunately, Five Stars Tours had scammed us 80 bucks to upgrade to a VIP coach when it was already included in the package in the first place. Duh! Felt so stupid afterwards wth But still it’s service standard is so much better than Grassland Express, whose manager gave us a nonchalant attitude when we inquired about the availability of the headphones in their coach by telling us that the built-in speakers on the seats are sufficient for us, thus we don’t actually need them  Guy employee took more than 15 minutes on their freaking slow system (which he claimed) to check on the schedule for us. Say, how difficult can that simple task be?

Narcissistic me with the headphones and my puffy jacket, cosy! Woo~ :wiggle: The seat was so spacious that I slept soundly throughout the whole journey. I had a great time fiddling with the buttons too hehe :p

Fake Effiel Tower :blank: If only I’m in Paris though omg Nothing beats getting an experience of the real thing wtf When will I have that chance? hmm

Awesome design isn’t it? SBS should consider changing all the public buses

I looked like an idiot here :disbelief: Can you see the mist? hmm
I swear I didn’t add any effect to the picture :ninja:

My heart literally dropped in my stomach while on this ride. I was getting pretty worried that the strings might snap anytime and I’ll be flung off my seat without warning :x Do they ever make any precautions at all? hmm

Was trying all means to grasp tightly onto the bar  You can’t see it, but my legs are trembling  Shit, my fat arms. Stop looking lah! :disbelief:

This stupid ride freaked me out too. I nearly died on the spot :disbelief:

The only ride I never get to try it. Not even if you dare me to, I might in the past but not now. My heart is getting weaker. The older I get, the more timid I am. Gee! :s Well, offer me S$1m and I might consider though.

Are you drooling yet? =)

Dim sum for breakfast…

…and international buffet for dinner at Coffee Terrace :) RM40 per pax gave you the choice of Western Asian, Japanese, Chinese Nonya, Western, Malay, Indian… Bah! I’m lazy to type more.

Damn filling  Full version not shown here :p

Chill out after dinner

Would someone please, kindly franchise this…

…and this in Singapore? I would certainly patronise them often, introduce to all my friends, advertise for you and give you a BIG HUG!

Very nice, thanks for sharing the pictures. Alot of things there have changed I guess.

The last time I went was close to 20 years ago. Maybe I should plan a trip some day.
