Worst Job Ever Sunday, 13 January 08

Resolutions came a bit late, but nonetheless…
- Get my driving licence
- Get a proper full-time job and stay on for at least a year
- Lose weight, at least 3 kgs
- Finish up furnishing my pig sty
- Skip 100 counts at least twice a week
- More personal savings
- Spend more time with my loved ones and friends
- … and the list goes on
Stress has been extremely overwhelming for the past few weeks. Had the feeling that my health is deteriorating and my body may crumble any moment. It’s gonna be a hectic 2 years from now on. I’m feeling the burden already
I have an interview tomorrow and hopefully, what I’ve learnt in school for the past few years could be put into use for that job
But first and foremost, I need to grab the chance of getting that job (though i didn’t do any preparation for it
). At least if I get that job, I don’t have to listen to angry customers complaining almost everyday and saying sorry for countless times each day
It’s such a torture to me. What we’ve learnt during the training period are all bullshit. All the empathy stuff are crap. Don’t understand why do we have to endure all their nonsense, we aren’t even professional psychologists. Also, the management is taking us for granted. They wanted us to make things easy for them, but they don’t do so for us.
Can’t help it anyway. Products sucks, company sucks, policies sucks, and the people aren’t any better. The stupid team leader don’t even bother to help clear the call queue at all. All she does is to say “Guys, call queue.” and looking at the call statistics for the whole day. Duh. So much so for being the biggest software company
Customer Service?
Forget it. It’s the worst job ever. And I’m not gonna step into this trade again. It’s so much better to be a consumer. At least we get to rant

Die-hard fan of

“we aren’t even professional psychologists.”
wow. i think it really sucks to work under Customer Service
speaking of jobs just makes me sick & nervous. people complains about how tedious & idiotic working is… but at the end of the month, MOOLAHS!!!! hahaha
i’m sure with your fast learning skill, you can drive on the roads in NO time
Yah true lah. I believe that is the only motivation other than my fun-loving colleagues
But it’s the work that suck
Been there, done that. Let’s trade stories over TEA one day, since neither of us drink coffee.
Dunno what job you’re suppose to do, but the only thing I learnt in school that’s applicable in the market right now, is accounts, as much as I completely, utterly and thoroughly hate the subject.
Ling, you did your best! >.< Don’t brood too much!
I can’t wait to find out how your interview went! I understand what it’s like being stuck in a job that you hate. Don’t do what I did at my last one and walk out haha because so many companies require at least one reference from the past employer now! I had some trouble convincing anyone to hire me for a while!
