Big Boy’s Big Day Tuesday, 6 May 08

WARNING: Very picture intensive post!

I tried scrapbooking for the very first time. My skills isn’t that good yet, compared to these professional creations

It really gives me a big headache whenever I have to plan for occasions Initial plan of going to the Science Centre and prawn fishing on the big boy’s big day was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. Thus, we straight away went for dinner to satisfy our grumbling stomachs

Dinner was at Shokudo Japanese Food Bazaar @ Raffles City. I am pretty meticulous when it comes to food, and this restaurant is something not to missed. Trust my taste man However, it is not advisable to go there after office hours as they don’t take in reservations and the queue can get extremely long! Yes. EXTREMELY LONG, I’m not kidding.

The decor of the restaurant is pretty eye-catching and colorful. Everything comes with a Japanese feel. The walls are decorated with graphics of Japanese girls and anime characters

The concept is pretty similar to Marché, only that the dishes are Japanese cuisine.

Charged cards and reservation tags were used.

An extremely huge Kimono was displayed in the middle of the restaurant. That alone is about 2m long! Who the hell is that tall?!

Even the popular neoprint machines could be found there. That gave me a fantastic idea and I dragged the reluctant big boy along to take neoprints with me. HEHEHE! But the result didn’t turn out to be good

We started off our meal with Ham and Cheese Omuraisu! It’s the best omelette I’ve ever eaten. It was lip-smacking good and generously drizzled with mayonnaise and Japanese sauce. OISHI!!! It’s something not to be missed!

Potato Curry Pizza, thinly crusted and toasted to a perfect taste. With generous portions of potatoes and cheese on it. It makes you very tempted to get a bite, another bite and another bite!

The ever famous Rosti with Sausage. ALOT better than the one at Marché, honestly speaking. It was deeply fried to golden brown which tasted very crispy on the outside. I am starting to drool even when I blog about it

Banana and Chocolate Crepe. Tasted okay. Should have tried the waffle with ice-cream though

We lifted our heavy butt off the seats and headed off to the highly anticipated Singapore Flyer!

The entry tickets. I see some potential 4D numbers

Interior of the cabin.

I took out my camera and started snapping throughout the whole ride However, I can’t seem to take a nice picture of the goddamn flyer Should have gone there in the day man But still, it was a great experience lah! At least the big boy is HAPPY, I shouldn’t be complaining

Us, in the cabin

The day ended with a surprise cake-cutting session at the big boy’s house. His cousins’ appearance came as a huge surprise for him (I pak kak with them hehe ). Firstly, they surprised him with a durian cupcake.

Which you can see from his expression here, he really HATED durian HOHOHO

Kena sabo

The cake his cousins bought for him.

F4 brudders

Another Amy

With me! Please ignore my fat thighs (heng never zao geng)

Happy 25th Birthday my Dearie!

We also celebrated the SO mum’s birthday on Sunday. Had the extremely shiok, creamy, and delicious Secret Recipe chocolate mousse cake. The taste is unforgettable

The birthday girl.. erm auntie with the two 小瓜

The adorable 小花猫

Little Erina says HI! Irresistibly cute

My scrapbooking not really nice lah, still learning Shokudo is pretty affordable, if you share with your friends. Omelette is about $5.80, Rosti about $9.80. Not recommended to eat alone

Belated happy birthday to your guy! I wish you good luck with your scrapbook skills. I am not really good in art and all. ;)) OMG! The pictures really made me crave, especially the rosti and the omuraisu!

The cake his brothers gave seems so delicious! I never seen such design here in the Philippines.
