It’s back again, bigger and better than ever! For the third successive year, iconic museum event Explore Singapore! will show you a whole new side to museums and our heritage.
Between 20 Nov and 7 Dec 2008, hop on board Explore Singapore! and indulge in our hearty heritage buffet of over 70 activities at more than 27 museums around the island. Covering familiar lifestyle themes like love, food, music, martial arts, entertainment and even toys, everyone young and old is bound to have a fun time at the museums.
Explore Singapore! is our refreshingly unique way to present heritage with a modern twist. Be dazzled by Singapore’s well-loved trio the Dim Sum Dollies, funnyman Mark Lee, love guru Vernetta Lopez, food ambassador Violet Oon, Wushu heartthrob Vincent Ng, world renowned NANTA group from Korea, and many more.
Enjoy a unique musical performance at the museum, pick up self-defence techniques, make a bear for your loved ones, do your bit for charity while you eat and shop, or simply savour delectable desserts and feast your eyes on entertaining acts. Choose your favourite activities from our many events, enjoy Explore Singapore! in its full splendour, and let’s have fun!

Dim Sum Dollies Day Out!
Catch this unique musical performance at the National Museum of Singapore! There’s no better or bigger introduction to Singapore’s heritage and culture than one made by the Dim Sum Dollies. As part of Explore Singapore!, let Singapore’s very own delectable Dim Sum Dollies take you in song and dance as they introduce you to Singapore’s history in a whimsical fashion. With a brand new skit, they will showcase our history and culture with their trademark Singlish wit.
Who: The Dim Sum Dollies are a musical cabaret group in Singapore, played by Selena Tan, Emma Yong and Pamela Oei. The Dollies are known for their loud and colourful costumes, spectacular dance scenes and their comical but incisive approach to contemporary social issues in Singapore. When: 29 November, Saturday, 1pm & 3pm Where: The National Museum of Singapore, 93 Stamford Road Ticket Sales: Free with museum admission
Adult: $10, Student & Senior Citizen: $5

The Old Days of Club Street
Join us on a guided tour to one of Singapore’s oldest — and now coolest — shopping street! Discover hidden parks and fascinating alleyways amongst other historic gems in this heritage walk through the hip and happening Ann Siang Hill.
When: 29 November 2008, Saturday, 10am – 12pm & 3pm – 5pm Where: Singapore City Gallery Ticket Sales: Adult: $6, Student/Senior Citizen: $4 Limited spaces available. For bookings and enquiries, please call 6321 8321.
Wrap! Festival
Join us for a musical extravaganza celebrating Asian culture! Delight your taste buds with yummy desserts at our dessert fair and enjoy a special performance by world-famous Nanta, winner for best performance at the 1999 Edinburgh Fringe Festival! Combining traditional Korean drumming with comic and drama, Nanta’s performance is not to be missed!
You can also soak up the cultural rhythms of a Dikir Barat performance and groove to the tunes from popular musical duo Jack and Rai from EIC.
Other highlights include a first time magic show in the galleries by magician Jeremy Pei, who will amaze and awe! Kids will love the bouncing castle, face painting, balloon twisters and more!
Join us for loads of fun and entertainment for the entire family!
