Sony Ericsson has just launched a new Facebook application on the C510 Cyber-shot phone, the very first Sony Ericsson phone to have this feature! It allows zero-click access to Facebook, one of the world’s most popular social networking sites!

The media launch was held at Bakerzin @ VivoCity with an unexpected Amazing Race awaiting us. After a brief introduction and tutorial on the usage of the phone, we were all set for the race!

With the Facebook application, we can stay updated on our friends’ status directly from the phone’s desktop (as seen above). The interface is pretty user-friendly and notifications are displayed promptly on the phone. With the 3.2MP camera, one can upload photos taken directly from the phone and share them through the Facebook photo albums with just a click! Simple isn’t it?

I’ve got a spanking new C510 in silver! Regret they didn’t have the one in red hee But just in time to change my K810i that’s growing mould :D

The content in the box =)
Here are some features of the phone:-
- 3.2 megapixel Cyber-shot camera with protective slide-in lens cover
- Smile Shutter
- SMS conversation style
- YouTube enabled
- Face Detection
- Auto focus
- Auto-rotation
- Photo Fix
- Snapfish by HP
- Bluetooth stereo (A2DP)
- FM Radio with RDS
- Google Maps
- Access NetFront Web browser
I am wondering why it doesn’t support Wi-Fi at all. I wouldn’t be surprised if Facebook addicts chalk up a hefty amount on the phone bill! :secret:
Existing owners of C510 Cyber-shot who wish to have the Facebook application, can contact Sony Ericsson Customer Support by calling +65 6744 0733.
Many thanks to Sony Ericsson and Hill & Knowlton for the invite

wow, i ish envious. =X
If video recording is your thing, then the C510 is not a good choice.
The Sony Ericsson C510 is a budget C902. To most people it’s very affordable. The 3.2 mp camera gives good pictures even there is no xenon flash. With new technology namely “smile shutter” it promises great effective. Designwise it features a typical Sony Ericsson looks, and I don’t think it looks as solid built as many other people said it to be.
