I Has a Blogger Name Card Wednesday, 27 May 09

I might be late, but better late than never right? I don’t feel comfortable giving out my business cards whenever I go for social media events. Thus, I created my own blogger/personal name cards :tongue2: After fiddling with Photoshop for days, here’s the final product :wink1:

TADAAAAAAAAA :heart14:

It’s my personal style to create something girlish yet creative and artistic :love3: What do you think of this design? :smileyhappy2:

The physical cards :flower6:

I got my name cards printed at Tommy Print, the preferred printer at Funan DigitaLife Mall for most bloggers. Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience with their service :blank: Am I the only unlucky one?

I ordered my cards via email and made the payment on 8 May. Collection was supposedly on 15 May which is after 5 working days. In the email, they stated that they would give me a call once my cards were ready for collection. However, no calls came on 15 May. Panicking, I gave them a call and they told me that there was a printing error and my cards were not ready

I gave them a tongue-lashing for not having the courtesy to at least inform me beforehand. With that, I have to wait for another 5 working days :blah: Once again, I called them on 21 May and AGAIN they told me that there was another printing error (without checking) The salesperson started giving me the excuse that they had just changed the printer and there are some troubleshooting to be done, cost of the printer is way over their budget and they couldn’t afford to purchase another one for backup  After which, she informed me that she would check again and get back to me. Ended up my cards were ready that very evening. Is there miscommunication around? :disgust:

That aside, I admit that the quality and price of the cards are really attractive. $24 for 200 cards is really worth it. I’ll probably close one eye on this issue. But I hope such a situation will never happen again

I must admit too that the quality and the colours of the namecards are pretty attractive!

Pretty!! I really like the colors! I had no problems with Tommy Print the last time I went there. (Although I went to the Novena branch instead). I guess it must have just been a one off problem. :S

I do not represent Tommy Print; but I will concur with Ivy that it probably is a one-off affair with that particular outlet.

That still does not take away that they have not been living up to most of our expectations of a good service provider.

That said; I think you have a very beautiful card; matches a beautiful person like you very well!

    (and no i wasn’t flirting)

    (or am i?)

    ;)

Ivy: Thank you. Yeah probably it’s a one-off problem :smileyhappy2:
Hisham: Thank you, you are really nice with your words  Like you’ve said, it’s probably just a one-off affair. I won’t be too harsh on them this time round :tongue2:
