Nail Art Design #4 Thu, 30 July 09

At last, I went Susan’s house to do my nails. Have been enduring with the previous one until today. Susan’s such a nice person. I postponed my appointment from 630pm till 7pm. However, work got cropped up and I only managed to reach at 730pm. I feel so bad about it. But thankfully, she’s magnanimous enough.

This time round, I did a simple one with a slight gradient and shimmery tip (no acrylic) as I am not the gentle kind of a person and tend to sway my fingers around.

I really love Be Mine You Are Fine a lot, but unfortunately it’s a limited edition color If anyone knows where I can get it, please let me know.

Chanel Hydramax + Active Skincare Workshop Fri, 24 July 09

I was invited to an exclusive skincare workshop for Chanel’s latest product launch – Hydramax + Active at their training centre. Sorry for the lack of photos as I was not allowed to use my camera due to the confidentiality rules by Chanel.

The workshop started off with a very brief introduction of their Hydramax + Active range and why it is important for our skin to be hydrate all the time. Thereafter, we were given a set of the Hydramax + Active range to cleanse, tone, moisturize and protect our skin with a sunscreen before we apply make up on our face.

The Hydramax + Active Serum is my favourite of the lot. It has a silky smooth gel texture that immediately melts into my skin. I can see an instant effect that leaves my skin very soft, supple & comfortable.

I found a new love from their summer collection – the Ombre D’Eau Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow! It gives a very nice glow and sheen on my eyelids. I heard that we can use this as an eye primer too! Does anyone know is this still available?

All of the participants walked away with a goodie bag filled with some samples from the Hydramax + Active range! I have to commend on their professionalism. The ladies from Chanel were really helpful and I really love the personalized kits they gave to each and everyone of us. It really saves a lot of time rather than passing around ONE pathetic set of skincare and makeup kit and also ensures hygiene.

Many thanks to Chanel for the opportunity. :)

Guerlain 2009 Summer Look Workshop Sun, 19 July 09

Thanks to CozyCot and Guerlain, I got an invitation to embark on a journey of Guerlain’s Summer Splash Color Collection.

Drool at the collection!

Here’s a peek of the collection which channels the natural color of the sand and sea and is also warmly inspired by seashells and the mediterranean sea. We got to try them out ourselves! I really love their eye palette, no matter how hard I pressed the eyeshadow it doesn’t crumble at all. The powders are really fine that I almost forgotten I had them on!

OMG this palette is to die for!

The Guerlain Meteorites Perles Light Diffusing Perfecting Primer is MAD AWESOME! The tiny little pearls come out in a pink, shimmery fluid that is really light and gentle in texture. I tried this on my face and it gives my skin an instant luminous natural-looking glow. MAGICAL! I’ve found the perfect make up base for myself! What’s the retail price again?

Thankfully, we had the chance to try out the full range. Unfortunately, they had to accommodate more than 6 people to a set. Didn’t managed to take any pictures as I was sitting at the other side of the table. I hope they would improvise on this for future hands-on sessions.

I almost forgotten I had a limited edition set of the meteorites which I didn’t have the chance to use yet. It was a birthday gift from my friends by the way.

Many thanks to CozyCot, Guerlain and their trainer Ms. Clymene Foo for making this session truly memorable and fun. Looking forward to more such events!
