After using Vaio W for almost two weeks. Here’s my take on this cool gadget! :wink1:


Vaio W is the latest mini notebook by Sony that provides portability, multimedia and web experiences on the go. Beautifully rounded and compact, it’s perfectly designed to accentuate the entire style. Retailing at S$899, the Vaio W is available in three yummy colors – Sugar White, Berry Pink and Cocoa Brown :drool2:



With a sharp 10.1-inch LED-backlit screen, the 1366 x 768 resolution eliminates excessive scrolling on smaller resolutions. It runs on Windows XP Home Edition (yay! :love1: ) and starts up pretty quickly. Though it may seemed tiny, it’s well equipped with an integrated webcam (can camwhore! :tongue2: ), 1GB RAM, 160GB hard disk and 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 for the processor. The brilliant colors displayed on the screen totally blew me away! :cloud9: I say, it’s absolutely great for a mini notebook :wink1:

Weighing at 1.19kg (including the battery), it’s SOOOOOO light that I could carry it almost anywhere and everywhere I go! :thumbsup: Great for people like me with weak arms HAHAHA :smileyhappy3:


The first of its kind patterned touch pad has a large surface for easier usage :cool:


The isolated responsive keyboard is one of the unique features of the Vaio W :love4: Even with my long nails, it’s pretty comfy while typing and prevents myself from bashing the neighbouring keys! :laugh:


The dimpled palm rest resist stains, fingerprints as well as prevent slipping! ;)


With so much convenience, I can bring it on the go and start blogging, editing my pictures, surfing the net, watch movies and chat with my friends on IM as and when I like! :heart14:


Oh yes, and while doing my daily beauty regime I can use the Vaio W too! Oops! Sorry if I scared you with my hideous look! :shutup:


This pretty W even caught the jealousy of others HAHAHA :tongue1:


Well, and even this sweet little girl is fascinated by it ;) (She’s a pink fan too! :marie5: )

    That laptop is gorgeous! I wish I have one like this. It’s so convenient and good for those “blogging-on-the-go” days. I love pink too by the way. For 899, it’s a good deal for everyday usage, minus the game playing of course. I shall start saving up to get a small laptop next year when I graduate. I love being able to blog and email whenever I go. Most people uses their mobile to blog/email/twitter these days. I still prefer a larger screen. :doraemon16:

    @Dayna Yes, I am so tempted to get one too ;)
    @Esther 3-cell. Battery life is approx. 2.5 hours :)
