I’m ashamed to say that I do not know what cervical cancer is all about. :confused2:


But after attending the POCC event, I learnt that cervical cancer is a common and preventable disease. Power Over Cervical Cancer (POCC) is a campaign to help women in Singapore to protect themselves against cervical cancer.

Cervical Cancer is the 6th most common cancer among women in Singapore. More than one woman die from cervical cancer every 5 days in Singapore. Shocking! :shocked2:

Spread the word and protect yourselves and your loved ones from this disease. You can prevent it by doing a pap smear or HPV Vaccination. ;)


I encourage all women to go for a vaccination to protect ourselves from HPV and cervical cancer.

Prevention is always better than cure. :)

    I’m actually thinking about going for one… I’ve a friend who contracted Cervical cancer before she was 30.
