[Review] Beauty Gadgets by LMS Spotlights

[Sponsored Review]

Picture this – You are going out for a photoshoot but there is this irritating huge red zit right smack in your face. Or, you are going for an event and that red spot attracted unwanted attention. First impression FAIL big time! :damnit:

Ever had this experience? Yes, I did. I get acne pretty often especially before my menses. And I always get it whenever I have to attend events. :( :

Well, fret no more. LMS (a.k.a. Love My Skin) Spotlights can be your saviour. It uses red light therapy which helps to clear spots quickly and effectively. Specially designed to look like cosmetic products (i.e. compact case, mascara and lipstick), they look pretty sleek and stylish to carry around.

Lo and behold, here are some things you need to know about these cool beauty gadgets:

  • Only work on fresh pimples and acne, mild to moderate condition. They help to reduce the redness and inflammation.
  • Will not work on pigmentation/ scars/ pit holes.
  • It is perfectly fine to use them even when you do not have zits. Prevention is better than cure.
  • Uses technology to increase the production of new skin cells by 155%, which is pretty impressive.
  • Use it for one minute, three times a day. For LMS Spotlight 3, you will have to use it for three minutes, three times a day.
  • You can use it even when having makeup on.
  • LMS Spotlight 8 and 24 has integrated alarms to inform you when the one minute is up.
  • Suitable for all skin types. Hence, you do have to worry about having skin reactions, etc.

Why I like it:

  • Unlike pimple creams, they do not dry out the skin or make the skin feel sticky and oily.
  • Convenient and I can bring it wherever I go.
  • Sleek and stylish
  • Easy to use
  • Lightweight

After usage:

  • No side effects, safe to use.
  • I have a tiny zit under my chin. The redness has slightly reduced, but perhaps I would need to use it longer for more significant results.

LMS Spotlight 3 – ideal for single spots. Sleek and lightweight, you can just slip it into your clutch or handbag. Retails at $79.

LMS Spotlight 8 – ideal to use it on a few spots. Slightly larger than the LMS Spotlight 3 and it retails at $129.

LMS Spotlight 24 – suitable for larger surface area like your cheek or back. Retails at $199.

LMS Spotlights are already available exclusively at Guardian stores islandwide. Do join their Facebook page or Twitter for more updates. :)

Strictly Pancakes

Strictly Pancakes is an all-day pancake cafe that serves savory and sweet pancakes. Say YEAH! to more brunch places! :jump:

I loveeeee pancakes. In fact, mum used to buy those ready-made pancake mix and we would make pancakes together. :)

The whole dining experience was really casual and comfy. It has two storeys with big plushy sofas but they were taken up when we got there. :( :

We had Garlic Buttered Prawns, Banana Scotched and Blackforest. I’m not a fan of garlic, in fact I hate it. But surprisingly, the garlic is not that overwhelming. The pancakes looked a little dry, but they were pretty soft and fluffy. The maple syrup and butter added that extra sweetness to the pancakes.

Banana Scotched had too much rum and my favorite would be the Blackforest. It was really yummy with the brandied cherries. The chocolate pancakes were drizzled with lots of chocolate sauce. :cloud9:

Three of us shared the pancakes and by the time we finished them, we were really bloated. I think we over ordered. Do eat in moderation! :)

Mystery Makan at Tea Cosy

Have walked past Tea Cosy at Plaza Singapura lots of times but I never knew that they had a cafe in there! :shocked1: Only when Nadia arrranged our mystery makan then I realized it!

I always have a soft spot for floral, victorian and shabby chic decors. Hence, I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the cafe. The entire place was displayed with tons of European and vintage collectibles and ornaments. :love4:

Fancy having some cupcakes and tea? :wink1:

Even the menu is so pretty! :cloud9:

FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD! :drool1:

My favourite would be the baked mushrooms with cheese! Uber shiok! Other food we ordered are mushroom soup, pan-fried foie gras, pasta arrabiata, miso dory and grilled chicken fillet.

We had brownies, sorbet and cakes for dessert. Mad full. :love3:

My lovely floral dress is from TheBlogShop. Totally match the decor of the cafe, what a coincidence! :)

It’s my turn to plan the next mystery makan hohoho! :jump: Already shortlisted a few! :tongue2:
