The Body Shop has hopped on to the BB cream bandwagon and launched their own range of All-In-One BB Cream (S$32.90). Color Adapting Tinted Cream seems to be a more suitable name for it though. This range come in 3 shades – 01 for lighter skin tones, 02 for medium skin tones and 03 for darker skin tones. L’Oreal has a similar product, I will come to that in another entry.
The BB Cream started off as a white liquid with tiny beads of pigment that burst as you apply it to the skin. The texture is much lighter and more runny compared to the other BB Creams in the market. Also, it doesn’t contain SPF as what a BB Cream should have at the very least.
All 3 shades look almost similar before blending.
I tried to blend it on the back of my hand and it seems like Shade 01 is a fairly good match, or was it?
I tested Shade 01 on the bottom half of my face but the result was disappointing. Not only was it too dark for my skin tone, it doesn’t seemed to transform properly to match my skin tone even after waiting for about 10 minutes. The color is a tad too orange which can be seen much clearer in real life. You can notice that my forehead looks brighter and fairer while the bottom half of my face is darker. :( Also, it offers zero coverage and is barely there. I wonder why it suits the rest of the bloggers but not me. :(
All in all, this product is disappointing. If not for the fact that it doesn’t suit my skin tone, I think it would make a good tinted moisturizer at least.
