Review: Charly T’s at I12 Katong
I’ve been to Charly T’s at Handy Road but wasn’t really impressed by their food then. I had ordered their Rotisserie Chicken but didn’t know they have different flavors for it. *smacks head* I then tagged along BFF when they invited us over to their I12 Katong branch. Hooray!
They have an alfresco area for chilling out and part of the wall had drawings done by the kids who had visited Charly T’s. How adorable! Hokay, now off to the food!
Red Tang and Green Flash Odysseys (S$6.50 each)
Red Tang is a blend of strawberry, cranberry and lychee. I love lychees! Whereas Green Flash Odysseys is a blend of green apple, orange and pineapple. Very refreshing. =)
Now here’s their famous Rotisserie Chicken, with 3 different recipes. We had Original, Kansas City BBQ and Kampong Chicken and my favorite would be the BBQ flavor. Prices ranges from S$13 for a quarter to S$46 for a whole chicken. The chickens are never frozen to keep their freshness and were marinated for over 13 hours before they are roasted and served. There are additional side dishes like German Potato Salad, Fresh Vegetables, Butter Garlic Rice, Macaroni and Cheese when you order the chickens.
They have different sauces to complement the Rotisserie Chicken like Charly T’s Original Sauce, Creamy Roasted Sesame Sauce, Kansas City BBQ Sauce and Chermoula Sauce. I had 3 servings of the Charly T’s Original Sauce cos it was SOOOOOO GOOOOD! =D
Negima Salmon Yakitori with Butter Garlic Rice (S$18)
Kalua Pork (S$16)
Sloppy Joe (S$8.50)
Chicken Cordon Bleu (S$14)
Look at that cheese oozing out! *rubs tummy*
It’s so fluffy, I’m gonna die! The pancakes are shredded into smaller pieces and then dusted in powdered sugar, raisins and served with their homemade vanilla bean ice cream. Super yummy!
