“Learn to make yourself a priority, not an option.” ~ Victoria

I get really excited when I receive my package from VanityTrove. I’m extremely pleased with this month’s trove which contains makeup, skincare and food. Let’s take a look at what I’ve received!

First of all, the mini Vanity magazine that caught my attention. There are little write-ups on the various brand collaborations, beauty tips and special coupons that you can use! It’s extremely handy that you can lug it around and read it on the go. You may also read it via web here.

On to the products! These are some of my favorite samples in the trove!

My first encounter with the brand Dr. Ci:Labo was a couple of years back. I had tried their Super Moisture range and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, it was too expensive for me to upkeep at that time. :( So imagine my surprise when I found the Dr. Ci:Labo Aqua Collagen Gel Enrich Lift EX (S$150 for 120g, $75 for 50g) in my trove woohoo! It’s an all-in-one product that helps to moisturize, lift and brighten the skin. The gel-like cream feels really soft and gentle on the skin and gets absorbed pretty well.

Essence Sun Club Bronzing Powder in 02 Sunlight Mix (S$6, 10g) contains micro shimmers to give a 3D effect. It helps to highlight, contour the face and gives a healthy glow to the skin without looking too tanned. If you are looking for an affordable bronzer, this is the one.

A rich and moisturizing cream that relieves extremely dry skin, Yuskin A Hand Cream (S$14.90) is a top-selling moisturizer in Japan and is loved for its light and non-greasy application. It contains Vitamin E and Glycyrrhetinic Acid to heal chapped skin.

I have been a fan of My Beauty Diary Masks (S$16.90, box of 10) for many years. Simply because they are extremely affordable with a wide variety of flavors that suits different skin care needs. Don’t even get me started on my current stash. It can last me for at least a year or so. :P The Q10 mask is mainly for hydrating and firming.

Bifesta Makeup Remover (S$16.90, 145ml) is my favorite eye makeup remover. Many bloggers have been raving about this brand. This water-based makeup remover is gentle and is powerful enough to remove the most stubborn makeup including waterproof ones. Surprisingly, it doesn’t leave an oily residue. Ok that reminds me of some items which I had received from the brand itself to review. Yet to do so oops! :x

And the average ones…

Slim Secret Bars (S$3.90 each) and Trulife Lingzhi Immunity (S$58.80, 10 bottles). Don’t quite fancy the food selections in this trove.

If you are keen to get the January 2013 trove, you can still join the backorder via this link! I really love this idea as it gives you a chance to grab them if you think it’s worth getting after reading the reviews. *thumbs up*
