L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Media Preview + Reviews
Earlier this month I was invited to the media preview of the NEW L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse, a new generation lip color for dual results – beautiful shades infused with a fresh shine to bring out the natural beauty of the lips with the gleam of a candy-colored caress. The event was held at Equinox @ Swissotel the Stamford.
Apart from the highly anticipated lip colors, we were given an exclusive preview of the upcoming Color Riche Les Ombres Eyeshadow, Curl Impact Collagene Extreme Resist Mascara and Lucent Magique Two-Way Powder Foundation.
A mini fashion show was presented to showcase different looks created by Larry Yeo with Shine Caresse for cute & girly, rock star chic as well as sexy & seductive. We were also treated to a mini makeover to try out the new products ourselves.
Shine Caresse has the intensity of a lipstick, shine of a lip gloss and durability of a lip stain. Yes, it’s an all-in-one lip product. With 8 versatile shades, you will definitely find one that most suit your style.
L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse (S$18.90, 6ml)
Said to be a dupe of the YSL Glossy Stains, L’Oreal Paris Shine Caresse is less pigmented and more sheer on the lips. I had to apply a few times before I get the intensity I wanted. This is better in the sense that I won’t get too much product with the doe-foot applicator, which glides effortlessly on the lips. It still leaves a nice tinted wash even after eating. The packaging is sleek and compact and I can whip it out anytime for a touch up.
Gave it 4 crowns as some colors don’t really show up on my lips, though it still leaves my lips glossy and pouty. It’s a trend to wear bright and bold lip colors nowadays, hence my favorite shade would be 605 Eve. More affordable than higher end brands, it delivers what it promises and leaves me impressed. Definitely a keeper.
Shine Caresse will be available at S$18.90 each at Watsons, Guardian, Sasa, selected departmental stores and super/hypermarkets from February 2013 onwards. Will cover the Color Riche Les Ombres Eyeshadow in another blog post. Thanks for reading. =)
