Mary Kay TimeWise Plus Event + Reviews
Event + Sponsored Review
Many of you may not have heard about the brand – Mary Kay. Me neither. Mary Kay is one of the largest direct sellers of skin care and color cosmetics in the world. Their products are sold in more than 35 global markets and they had opened the market for Singapore in 2009. Sometime back, I was invited to an intimate session with the team at Cafe de Jardin to learn more about the brand and their latest skincare range – TimeWise Plus+.
The unique selling point about Mary Kay is that they do not have any standalone boutiques but rather, they have beauty consultants that do freelancing and provide services to you at the comfort of your own home. Need a spa session at home? Simply call up Mary Kay and the consultant will bring the products to you personally. Through this, they gain recognition by word of mouth and recommendations from family and friends. Impressive.
The star products of the event are the serum and eye cream from the TimeWise Plus range.
Mary Kay TimeWise Plus+ Regena-Firm Intensive Serum (S$195, 30ml)
To be used twice a day, the serum helps provide youth-storing firmness, volume and lifting so that the facial contours look more defined. Every woman longed for a V-shaped face. I used to have a squarish jawline but having braces changed the shape of my jaws. Though I am blessed with a smaller jawline now, laugh lines, fine lines and sagging skin are haunting me as I get closer to the big 3. With just 1-2 pumps of the serum, lightly pat and massage the fluid onto your skin to make the serum work more effectively. Not only have this product made my skin stay firm and supple, it reduces water retention and makes my face slightly sharper and slimmer. I would also apply the serum on my neck to lighten the neck folds. The downside would probably be the hefty price tag, but definitely worth the investment.
- Helps the jawline area appear lifted
- Helps define and perfect facial contours
- Firms and tightens sagging skin
- Helps reverse loss of cushion
- Provides lifting that lasts throughout the day
- Neck area looks firmed, lines and wrinkles look softened
- Immediately doubles skin hydration
Mary Kay TimeWise Plus+ Regena-Firm Correcting Eye Cream (S$105, 15ml)
Targeting the signs of advanced aging in the eye area, the eye cream has a very thick texture but not too heavy. It gives adequate moisture and hydration to the eye area without feeling too oily or icky. The specially sculpted metal applicator is a good massager that aids in reducing puffiness and swelling as it feels extremely cooling and refreshing. Very helpful for me to use it from the aftermath of crying after a night of watching melodramas.
- Helps eye area look more lifted
- Helps reduce puffiness
- Minimizes appearance of deep lines
- Minimizes dark circles
- Firms sagging skin around eyes
- Liquid crystal delivery system helps enhance effectiveness
- Liquid crystal help illuminate eyes
- Provides moisturization for 12 hours
Now moving on to their makeup which is part of the Limited Edition Hollywood Mystique Collection. Check out the swatches below.
Mary Kay Eye Intrigue Color Quad
Mary Kay Gel Eyeliner With Expandable Brush in Tempting Teal and Jet Black
Mary Kay Bold Shine Lip Color in Poised Pink
Mary Kay True Original Cologne Spray
A cologne for the men, it has a sweet musky scent but not too overpowering. Gave this to the hubby and he already finished it. -_- I think his perfume usage is way higher than mine.
- Top notes: Lemon and Fuji apple
- Middle notes: Amber and cedarwood
- Bottom note: Patchouli

We were given a hand pampering session with their Peach Satin Hands pampering set, an easy 3-step system that helps keep hands feeling renewed, soothed and pampered. I think this makes a good gift set!
