Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit
The hubby and I seldom had the chance to travel, no thanks to my 7 days of leave (!!!) at my previous company and his hectic work schedule. Mad happy that I am no longer working there! We took the chance to travel during the long weekend in August and booked a flight to Bangkok, together with BFF and Fidel to shop and eat till we drop! Let’s save that for another blog entry.
The lovely folks at ICON and Sofitel had hosted us for 2 nights each at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit and Sofitel So Bangkok where each hotel has its own unique concept. Here is why I like about Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit!
The hotel is about 45-minutes car ride from Suvarnabhumi International Airport. It is located right in the heart of Sukhumvit area with lots of places nearby for shopping, eating or simply browsing around. Terminal 21 is located just 5-minutes walk away!
I was in awe upon entering the lobby. It looks extremely stunning, posh and aesthetically pleasing. Every little corner is taken into design consideration to give the hotel a luxurious feel. The staff greet with enthusiasm and always wear smiles on their faces. You can simply relax and laze around at the lounge area, sipping on a good cuppa coffee and watching the world go by.
For Club Signature’s guests, you will get a personalized check-in experience at their club lounge. Welcome drinks and refreshing towels were offered to freshen ourselves before we were being ushered into our Luxury Club Millésime room.
Elegant and Spacious Rooms
The luxurious 32-storey hotel has 345 guestrooms and suites that include 233 Luxury Rooms, 75 Luxury Club Millésime Rooms and 32 Prestige Suites. All rooms are elegantly appointed and feature spacious marble bathrooms with a separate shower and exclusive L’Occitane bathroom amenities. For the Luxury Club Millésime rooms and the Suites, Hermès bathroom amenities are provided. Other amenities include broadband and wireless internet access, satellite/cable large-screen smart LED TV, an interactive entertainment system, Bose wave music systems, a large personal safety box, and complimentary coffee and tea facilities. Suites and Luxury Club Millésime rooms offer a Bose home theatre sound systems and an in-room Espresso machine.
Swimming pool, gym, nail salon, spa… You name it, they have it. The BFF and I had an extremely relaxing and soothing massage at Le Spa with exclusive L’Occitane products. Thai’s skills and technique for massage never fail to impress me. The masseuse was very gentle with the massage strokes, it was so relaxing that I fell asleep!
Sumptuous Food Selection
The buffet at their signature restaurant Voila features a wide spread of seafood, local delights and international cuisines. For the ultimate exclusivity, the Club Lounge offers club guests a more private and exclusive dining experience. The atmosphere is more relaxed and chilled. Honestly, we felt really spoilt. There were complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails for us. It was awesome to just chill, relax and chitchat with BFF and our hubbies.
Sweet Treats at Le Macaron
A dessert shop in the hotel? Ooh yay! BFF and I went gaga over the pretty macarons and desserts in the shop. From crispy meringues and hand-made chocolates to fruit brioches and delicatessen products, you will find them all at Le Macaron.
We had a pleasant stay at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit. Many thanks to ICON and Sofitel for hosting us!
