Merry Christmas! Another year gone, another year older. Here’s part 2 on what I’ve been up to recently! :dance1:

2PM Hands Up Asia Tour

Omo~ finally got to see my favorite Kpop boy group 2PM! Totally love their music and dance styles. Their songs are super catchy! Didn’t managed to go for their hi-5 event though cos it’s frigging far and falls on a weekday fml! :(:

The finale was awesome! Both Taecyeon and Chansung started taking off their tops lol! One lucky girl managed to grab the tee that Taecyeon threw towards her. She was like screaming at the top of her lungs hahaha! I think I might do that too if Wooyoung threw his. I hope I’ll be able to see them again! :love4:

Mnet Asian Music Awards

This has got to be the best concert I have ever went! All thanks to my friend, I managed to purchase a Pen B ticket. I went to stalk them the day before but only managed to see Park Bom lol. Missed the chance to see Park Ji Hoo, who happened to be at MBS too. :alamak:

On the day itself, I went to queue with my friend at 630am. Her friends started queuing up 2 days before the concert so we went to take over them. Super tiring and lethargic and the attitude of the staff didn’t help much. They were extremely rude and treated us like juveniles. Anyway, we were made to wait under the hot sun for more than 12 hours. You know how frustrating it is when some idiots rather go by the book than using their pathetic brains to think.

Come to think of it, everything’s worth the wait! We were standing less than 2m away from the artistes’ sitting area! Look at da awesome pictures I’ve taken! :smileyhappy3:

Unfortunately, the security stopped us from taking photos 20 minutes to the show. Damn double standard! But still, I went home feeling extremely happy. :love1: Wished 2PM and Big Bang were there though!

Power Plate at Selective Fitness

Selective Fitness is a specialized boutique Power Plate fitness studio located at one of the shophouses along Tanjong Pagar Road. BFF and I were invited for the trial classes to experience their intense workout. What’s so unique is their Power Plate machines which vibrates throughout the workout and helps to improve blood flow and tone the muscles.

We were like screaming for mercy almost every lesson lol. At times, I couldn’t even feel my arms or legs anymore. With the help from Chris, the personal trainer, I managed to push myself to the limit. At the end of each lesson, my legs start to ache and it gets worse the next day. The aches took a few days to go away and I can feel that my muscles are more toned! I’d probably need more lessons to see an improvement. :)

Check out their Facebook page and sign up for a free trial!

Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2012

It’s coming to the end of 2011! I went to Suntec City for the wishing sphere project organized by Marina Bay. This year, 20,000 of the wishing spheres, all marked with the hand-written wishes made by Singaporeans, will be floated onto the waters and become come part of a visual arts installation at Marina Bay – the Bay of Hope and Light.

I’ve penned down my wishes! Anyone heading down to Marina Bay for the countdown? :tongue2:

Here’s the outfit I wore that day. :) *sucks in tummy*

Have been really busy these days and couldn’t find the time to blog more. Wish I can be a full time blogger lol! Anyway, remember to join my giveaway! :smileyhappy3:

Inspired by BFF, I’m penning a bite-size blog post on the activities which I’ve been busy with recently. Another reason is I have way too many backlogs to clear :x

Halloween at Universal Studios

My photo editing not bad right? Spooky eh? :tongue2: This year’s Halloween was spent at Universal Studios. It’s my 3rd time there lol! I swear this win hands down all other Halloween events I’ve been to.

Walk along the eerie streets and some random undead will scream at you. The haunted house was the scariest of all and we had to queue for 45 minutes. It was worth the wait though. There were like dead bodies hanging in mid-air and you can’t avoid body contact at all fml.

Journey of Indulgence with Haagen-Dazs

Thanks to Smith, I got onboard the Haagen-Dazs’s Journey of Indulgence with BFF, CCB and Tiphanie. There were free flow of Haagen-Dazs ice cream, champagne and chocolates. *yummeh* What a lovely experience!

BonJapan @ Orchard Central

Last year, I attended BonJapan’s media event held at SMU. Nearly a year later, they had expanded and opened a retail store at Orchard Central! What you can find in the store are exclusive snacks, soft toys, figurines and lots more! I love the kids beer and edamame pie soup, damn unique and really yummy! Check out BonJapan at Orchard Central #06-15/16/17!

Ice Cream Making Workshop at Tom’s Palette Mon, 5 December 11

Jacelyn • Filed under: Events, Food, Fun 12:00 pmComments(0)

Woohoo! I went back to Tom’s Palette for an ice cream workshop organized by Elfaine from TheSampleStore! I never knew ice cream making could be that easy. Anyway, Tom’s Palette had expanded to almost three times! It certainly looked much more impressive!

All the raw ingredients can be found easily from supermarkets. Here’s a step by step guide on making your own ice cream at home!

And it’s all done! When I first saw the ice cream, I was like WOAH! Darn proud of myself lol! After which, we headed over to Overseas Restaurant next door for a food tasting session. I’ll leave that for another entry.

Ok, I can’t wait to try out the recipe myself. Maybe I’ll try a milo version or something. Now go ahead and make your own ice cream!

Jacelyn • Filed under: Events, Fun 12:00 pmComments(4)

I FINALLY WENT FOR SKY DIVING! Indoor one lah heh heh! Yes, we went for iFly Singapore at Sentosa! Wanna try it too? Read on to find out how you can enjoy an exclusive promotion right here, at daintyflair.net! :smileyhappy3:

The entire flight experience is amazing. At a height of 56.6ft and width of 16.5ft, iFly Singapore is the world’s largest indoor skydiving simulator. You can reach up to 5 storeys high! It’s the only wind tunnel that offers flyers an unparalleled view of the South China Sea and a nightly firework display from the nearby Songs of the Sea. We managed to catch a glimpse of the fireworks when we were there!

The entire body flight is themed like an airport terminal. You have to book a flight at the counter and proceed to check in.

After which, you will be ushered into a room for a simple training of the posture and hand signals which you must understand as it’s the only form of communication you will have with the flight instructor in the tunnel.

And we gear up! We were required to wear laced shoes for safety purposes! I managed to borrow a pair!

All ready! My face like kena squished like a bao. :scared:

Waiting for our turn to fly! HEE HEE! :smileyhappy3:

Some pictures of me flying! Each skydive is approximate 45 seconds, the whole experience is really fun and exhilarating! :love3: Gonna go for the real one after a few more flights! :tongue2:

Check out nadnut and I flying! Woohoo mad fun! :doraemon5:

And we turned out like crazy women. :tongue2:

Keen to check out iFly? To celebrate Halloween, iFly Singapore is having a Spooky Trip Special! Simply come in a group of 3 to enjoy 20% off their Adult First Timer Challenge Package! If you show that you are a reader of daintyflair.net (flash this blog post on your mobile phone, laptop or print out), you will be able to receive two photos and one DVD of your flight experience upon purchase of your flight tickets for FREE!

Promotion is from 29 – 31 October 2011.

We all had fun! You should too! :wink1:

With our lovely instructor, Jonathan! :jump:

Japanese DIY Candy Kits by Kracie and Meiji Tue, 24 May 11

Jacelyn • Filed under: Food, Fun 12:00 pmComments(4)

Japanese have the most bizarre inventions. Remember the Konapun Fake Food Making videos I posted a couple of months ago? All thanks to Nadia who managed to find the edible versions from Kracie, I think the both of us had spent more than $100 to buy these candies. We have almost collected all but are still looking for the pizza version. If anyone found it, PLEASE INFORM US! :tongue2:

Apart from Kracie, I managed to find the DIY candies from Meiji. Not that fantastic but was still fun to make. Since Nadia had posted what she bought, I decided to show what I bought too! Check out the following videos! :love4:

Ramen

Ice Cream

DIY Candy

Donuts

Crepes

Sushi

Bento

Gummyland

Cupcakes. This is the only set that requires baking.

Taiyaki

Neru Neru Neru Ne

Oh yeah that’s a lot of candies there. In fact, I’ve already tried the Ice cream and Neru Neru. Ice cream was yummy but Neru Neru is way too sweet. It’s as if you are eating the entire packet of sugar.

Nadia and I might post up some videos soon. Do look out for it! :wink1:
