Girly Staycation – Quincy Hotel Mon, 6 December 10

Jacelyn • Filed under: Fashion, Fun 10:46 pmComments(2)

Nadia came up with the idea of having a girls staycation with me, Esther, Fidelis and Sabrina. Not long after, we were all set for it WOOO HOOO!!! :happy2: At first, I had no idea what staycation meant. After Nadia’s explanation, then I know it meant by local vacation. OH! :tongue2:

We took a lot of time to recee hotels and finally decided on Quincy Hotel. It’s a chic boutique hotel located steps away from Orchard Road just behind Far East Plaza and Goodwood Park Hotel. Accessibility is not that good though. We had to climb the hill and walk through York Hotel to get to Quincy. Exhausting! :shocked1:

The usual rate for the rooms cost about $358++ per night. However, there was a Qool Weekend promotion strictly for locals at the cost of $268++ per night which I feel that it’s a good deal. It comes with breakfast buffet, set lunch and set dinner for two, free mini bar in the room, complimentary cocktails at the bar plus other perks! :wink1:

Here are some pictures around the hotel.

The awesome pool which we didn’t get to swim in. Marvellous. :damnit:

Check-in time!

The service by Quincy’s staff was worth commending. They were all smiley and always ready to attend to our requests. On the day of check-out, one of the staff came over to ask me if I need a cab when he saw me loitering around at the lobby area for a very long time. Well, I was waiting for Boss to fetch me so I rejected him politely. It was nice of him to ask though! :)

Now off to our room!

Plushy bed! Mad awesome la. Just wanna roll and roll and roll on it! :jump:

Bathtub! :love1: Can have my bubble bath wheee! :tongue2:

Day bed.

Toiletries from Molten Brown.

Free drinks!

Free snacks!

Complimentary red wine, which we didn’t get to drink.

Here’s my outfit of the day – chiffon top & black shorts from TheBlogShop and hair accessory from a shop at Orchard Cineleisure.

Overall, I LOVE this hotel! Hope I’ll have the chance to come again! Will probably do another staycation with Boss. :love4:

Look out for my next staycation entry! :cloud9:

My virgin Arnold’s meal and I’m ashamed! How could I have missed such good food? Grabbed more clothes from TheBlogShop and we were off to Suntec for Anime Festival Asia! Our main purpose is to visit Atelier Royale! :smileyhappy2:

Ready to nom noms! Like my new hair color? :cloud9: I DIY it with Liese! HEE HEE! I want a lighter shade like ash blonde or ash peach brown but I don’t feel like bleaching my hair leh! Dilemma! :(:

With Fidelis and Esther. Poor Nadia had to rush back to work so she couldn’t join us. :(: Sabrina and Sylvia were there too!

Here we are! There were tons of anime stuff, which I am totally clueless about. :tongue2:

Honestly, I was quite disappointed with the set up. An empty hall area for this? Err ok?! Not very attractive I must say. :blah:

Spotted a fake Pikachu! :shocked1:

Damn this car. Nice luh! :happy2:

Remember we wanted to visit Atelier Royale? Ended up the queue was damn bloody long and we gave up. :blank: Sian to the max!

For the record, my outfit of the day. Laced top, black shorts with ribbon and bag all from TheBlogShop. Necklace is from Wenyadesigns. :love3:

I think Boss should improve his photography skills. He loves taking from this angle and it makes me damn short! I’m beri tall one hokay! :blah:

Very controversial blog title eh? Read on! :tongue2: As you may know, the girls and I are planning for a staycation this month. In fact, it’s happening tomorrow! :happy2: Few weeks back, Nadia, Esther and I went to recee some hotels in town. We walked a lot! Full marks for our effort lol!

We were mad tired and settle down for lunch. Recommended by Nadia, we had these chicky rice balls! Very very fragrant, even better than the ones in Malacca. :wink1: It’s located here if you are interested. :)

Up next, Esther’s mystery dinner at Porn’s! :wink1: Wurve the sexy elephant ass! :smileyhappy3: Cheeky restaurant name I must say, but it certainly caught your attention right? :)

They started before Boss and I came. Had a bit of the tom yum soup and totally love it! Didn’t had much chance to try the other dishes. Might drop by again if they can improve their:

  • Service: Food came pretty slow and the staff doesn’t seemed too happy serving us. Maybe cos it’s during peak hour.
  • Food: More portions please! Not enough to eat leh.

Thai Roselle & Lime and Thai Iced Tea. Totally love the iced tea! :dessert3:

Pineapple Fried Rice

Looks damn farking good right? Think again. :blah:

Measly portion, quite disappointing. I’m like paying for the leftover pineapple husk rather than the food. :blank:

Thai Green Curry, very flavorful and has ample portion of chicken in it. :tongue1:

Fidelis’ Mochi with mango dessert. Didn’t have the chance to try it. Looks damn appetizing! :smileyhappy3:

After dinner, we popped by Honeymoon Dessert for well, mouth-watering desserts! :drool1:

The girls. :kitty14:

Me and Boss. :love4:

I had Thai Black Glutinous Rice with Mango and Vanilla ice cream. Heavenly! Oh man I miss the desserts in Hong Kong, I’m glad they brought in Honeymoon Dessert! :doraemon5:

Boss had Sesame Soup & Walnut Soup. :jump:

Mango Sago! :wink1:

Durian Pancake. I’m gonna try their durian desserts next time! :tongue2:

Complimentary Mango Pudding. Yummeh! :weather14:

With the girls. I’m wearing a dress from TheBlogShop. :love4:

We parted after that and Boss and I headed down to New Asia Bar to chill out. Didn’t stay for too long cos it was darn boring there. :(:

Loves! I’m not drunk ok! :smileyhappy3:

Overall we had fun and I must say that the crowd is horrendous! The queue was damn bloody long for every haunted trail and the most memorable one would be Dead or Alive Wax Museum. This lady who was right infront of me was screaming throughout the whole journey. I have to thank her for the warning though. :smileyhappy3:

I wanna dress up for Halloween next year! Who’s on? :tongue2:
