Melbourne: Apollo Bay Bakery

It was such a coincidence that our accommodation was just a walking distance from Apollo Bay Bakery, which is well known for their scallop pies. I love scallops, so I knew I had to try this! smile

We spotted a friend at the entrance while waiting for a seat, a koala soft toy! bigsmile

We tried both the Curried Leek & Scallop Pie and Scallop Mornay Pie. Personally, I prefer the latter. The pie was bursting with flavours and really juicy, food orgasm I must say. They were so generous with the huge chunks of scallops in the pie. The crust was crispy and nicely baked. I need to find a recipe for this! Totally craving for this now! smile

If you are not into seafood, they also have meat pies, vegetable pies, sausage rolls and desserts. You will definitely find something that you will like here.
