Melbourne: Hash Specialty Coffee & Roasters

There are tons of cafes down the streets of Melbourne and Hash Specialty Coffee is just one of them. Serving one of the best hot chocolate in town, it is located at a quiet corner of Hardware Lane.

This is their popular Hot Chocolate, made with 85% Mork Chocolate served with a cloud of fairy floss. It was fun pouring the hot chocolate on the candy floss. smile With the sweet candy floss, the dark chocolate is not too bitter and just nice for my palate.

We had Pork Benedict which is topped with poached eggs, pulled pork, grana padano, chick peas, apple cider hollandaise and toasted sourdough. French Toast with brioche, cherry compote, honeycomb, pistachio soil, berry mascarpone, maple syrup and passionfruit gel. Having tried so many cafes in Australia, the food never fails to disappoint. It’s no wonder Melbourne’s coffee scene is literally second to none. smile

Toffee Nut is Love

Attended a food tasting event at McCafe Alocassia to sample their new promotional beverages for Christmas! Thanks to Nadia for the invite! I’m not a coffee-lover but this session changed my view of coffee. :wink1:

Apart from that, we were being treated to yummy sandwiches from McCafe!

Toffee Nut Latte, very flavorful with the toffee nut syrup, caramel sauce and frothy steamed milk. I’m a virgin coffee drinker, hence I can’t judge what’s good coffee and what’s not. But still, I quite like the taste of it. Not too strong but very fragrant. :thumbsup:

The toffee nut syrup that was used in all three beverages. smile

We had hands-on experience to create our own latte after looking at the demonstration given by the professional barista. Look at all the creations! :laugh:

Mine turned out quite sucky. It turns out that you have to pour the milk really quickly and smoothly to achieve the nice latte art. :tongue2:

The day ended with another treat – cinnamon melts! :eat:
